The It List: June – Dad Style

In honor of the upcoming Father’s Day holiday, I thought I would devote this post to men, because, man oh man they can be tough to shop for!  These suggestions, however, are not only for dads.   These are great for any guy you know for any occasion.

Here are some of my favorites:

1. Monogrammed Money Clip

I actually got this item for Mike for his birthday. He was always saying that he wished he had one when we go out because a wallet is so big and bulky to carry when you are in and out of places and sitting most of the night.  So viola!  He hasn’t used it yet, but it seems light yet sturdy.

2.  Gerber Steady Tripod Multi-tool

Gerber-Steady

What guy doesn’t like a Gerber knife?  Heck, I like Gerber knives.  This new version has all of the tools of the regular Gerber, but adds another dimension with the ability to add a tripod.  Great for taking pictures, videos or playing music.

3.  Bike Speakers

Since we have been spending our weekends recently biking a lot, these bike speakers might just be my favorite thing on this list.  Only $30, these attach to the handlebars of your bike and play music off of your iPod or iPhone.  It is kept safe and sound nestled in the middle of these speakers and zipped up for extra protection.  The best news?  These speakers can attach to anything, not just your bike; think beach chair or backpack.  Score!

4. Canopy Tent

I don’t know about you guys, but I can’t count the number of times we have been at the beach, camping or tailgating and found ourselves saying, “We need one of those canopy tents.”  I think every guy (family) and it is definitely on our “to get” list one of these days (probably this one, but a Gator one would be awesome)!

5.  Camping Grill

There is something to be said for convenience.  I love our little charcoal grill that we take camping, don’t get me wrong, but turning two buttons and getting cooking in seconds with this small and portable propane grill sounds wonderful!  This would be perfect for tailgating also – I love double duty items!!!
