Menu Wednesday

Hi all!  So glad to be back with you after a bit of a hiatus and I have so many blog posts coming up to share.  

We have been pretty busy with summer in general, summer camp, nursery decorating and just plain everyday life.  E seems to be growing exponentially each and every day and I can't believe I'm already in my third trimester with this baby girl.  Time really does fly.

 Our weekend was spent playing, jumping and sliding with a little bit of decorating thrown in.  This week is another hot one with lots of summer items getting checked off the list.  I hope you're staying cool!

M:  Tuna Sandwiches, Fruit and Chips
T:  Pressed Chicken and Pesto Sandwiches w/ Roasted Carrots
W:  Pulled Pork Soft Tacos w/ Grilled Pineapple
Th:  Wings and Chopped Salad
F:  Taco Salad
Sa:  Birthday Party and BBQ!
Su:  Lasagna and Apple Crisp (Happy Father's Day, Mikey!)


On a different note, I would ask all of you to keep my dear friend Sheri and her family in your prayers.  About an hour before writing this I found out that Sheri passed away.  

Sheri had been battling peritoneal cancer since October 2012 and did so with an amazing amount of grit and determination.  She was a hilariously inspiring friend who loved to have a good laugh (she had the best laugh) over a Stella Artois and always gave everyone she knew a solid slap on the behind (literally).  

My heart goes out to her family, especially her husband, Keith and their two little boys, Henry and Sam.  I know her legacy will live on through them.

Hug your kiddos a little tighter tonight, I can't imagine having to say goodbye to mine.
