Menu Monday

Good morning and happy Monday!  We had such a fun, family filled weekend and I can't wait to show you through pictures.  We have been here there and everywhere and I need to go to work to rest!

Over the course of the last few days we have been across the state to St. Pete beach, to the Stanley Pond Adventure right in our backyard and everywhere in between.  I feel like we are constantly packing bags to go from one escapade to the next; which is exhausting and exhilarating all at the same time.

While in St. Pete we ate at the cutest local breakfast place called Sweet Sage Cafe.  It was adorable and the food was out of this world.  I highly recommend it if you are in the area!

Hilty was soooo excited to see her cousin Lily!

Although overcast, we spent all day on the beach soaking up the sea breeze.  I always say that the beach is nature's sandbox.  I'm telling you, if you have sand and water you will have happy toddlers.  Everett and his cousin Remy played all.day.long.

Hilty even loved the sand.  We have to get her started early so she will love beach days as much as we do!

Mike, Hilty (5 months), Everett (3 years), me, Mark (Mike's brother), Remy (3 years), Lily (5 months) and my sister-in-law Sara.

Saturday morning Everett and Remy along with the dads headed to Home Depot for the Kids Workshop.  Both kiddos got to build a toy wagon and spend quality time with Mike and Mark.

After wagon building and a pancake breakfast, we headed about 20 minutes away from our house to go check out the Stanley Pond Adventure Farm.

I had heard really good things about it in the past, and while doing some research discovered that the farm is only open during certain parts of the year.  I was so excited to see that it is open for the Easter season and I couldn't wait to go while our family was in town.

To be honest, I loved every part of this attraction.  It was 100% kid friendly and a true definition of the term "unplugged play".  The kiddos got to experience old fashioned fun and the adults could do allllmost everything the farm had to offer.

My favorite part was probably the catfish pond, but here are some of the other experiences that you can have while visiting:

  • Skippy the Airboat (kids only)
  • Tennis Ball Cannon
  • Sparky the Firetruck
  • Catfish Pond Fishing (catch and release)
  • Old fashioned water pump
  • Sand Mountain
  • Super Slide
  • Horse Rides (kids only)
  • Jumping Pillow (think bounce house)
  • Easter Hay Ride
  • Bucking Bull and Blue Cow Cattle Rides (Tractor rides)
  • Story in the Sunflower Field

We even saw a couple of baby gators!

We arrived around 11am and stayed until about 4:30.  The kiddos LOVED every bit of it and the adults had a blast as well.  I loved that they price of admission included everything mentioned above and except for food (you can bring your own as well), no money was needed.  Well done Stanley Pond, well done!

Sunday proved to be just as relausting (relaxing yet exhausting) as our previous days.  We headed out to the Marriott World Center where the fam is staying for some fun in the sun.

The hotel is so huge, and the pools definitely did not disappoint.  The kiddie pool area/splash pad was amazing.  Everything was age appropriate and the lifeguards did a great job.  Two thumbs up!

These two little ladies have been troopers and I can't wait to see them running around together just like their older brother and sister!

Hilty (left) and Lily (right) are only 10 days apart!

This week...knock on wood...is a little bit more low-key.  We don't have any plans this weekend which may find us heading to Palatka to start work on my grandparents' house that we inherited a few months ago.  Stay tuned!

Here's what's on the menu!

M:  Pizza and Chopped Salad
T:  Farewell Dinner with the Fam
W: Black Bean and Beef Chili (Crock Pot)
Th: Taco Lime Grilled Chicken w/ Peppers and Yellow Rice
F: Tuna Sandwiches w/ Carrot Sticks
Sa:  Veggie Ravioli
