Happy New Year!

Hi everybody and Happy New Year!  I just wanted to pop in and share some of our funsies from the past couple of months and hopefully get back into the swing of sharing our life with you all again.  I miss this blog and am resolute in finding ways to give it the time it deserves.  Until then, here is what we have been up to!

We made the 20+ hour trek to Wisconsin for Christmas and had.a.blast.  The driving part actually went pretty well considering we had a 2.5 year old and a 3 month old AND we drove straight through.  A word to the wise if you ever try this is to ALWAYS start driving around dinnertime/bedtime.  That was a lifesaver.

We hit lots of great spots around the Madison area and tried to wear Everett out every single day.  I love the UW Madison campus, but I love to watch Mike show E around even more.  It's so sweet and I know Mike is so proud.

A stop at the Christmas tree inside the State Capital.

We stop at State Street Brats everytime we are near campus and get a picture with the monkeys.

We made cookies for Santa with cousin Remy, made it to a Badger Basketball game with friends and had lots of time with the fam.

The weather was actually pretty awesome during our 10 day stay, highs in the 30s instead of negative numbers, but we didn't have any snow which I was kind of bummed about...until a snowstorm hit on our last day there.  We ended up staying an extra day so that we weren't on the nasty roads and so E could play in the fluffy white stuff.

He loved tasting hot chocolate for the first time and we could not keep him out of the snow!!!  He is definitely his father's child.  They played in it for and hour and a half while Hilty and I watched from inside.  Women=Smart.

Since returning from vacay, we have still had lots going on, like:

Hilty turning 4 months and starting daycare (at Everett's school).

Saying goodbye  "see you later" to some of our best friends as they moved to Louisville, KY.

Getting spoiled rotten by Orlando Moms Blog at Bridle Oaks Barn.  It was like being a celebrity and winning the lottery at the same time.  Such an amazing night.

Again, thanks to the Orlando Moms Blog, we also had a blast at the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus.  Everett loved the elephants (which are being retired in May)!

The day after the circus we found ourselves enjoying Peppa Pig Live.  It was adorable and a great birthday gift to Everett from Gransie.  She sure knows how to win his heart!

The Grocery Lane Etsy shop has also been restocked and is excited for the new year as well!  Check out the merchandise, and remember that custom orders are welcome!

Other than that, not much has been going on!  Ha!

The kiddos have been fighting some nasty cold/cough combos and we are still trying to find our normalcy as a family of 4.  Everett will be turning 3 in a couple of weeks and we can't wait to see what this new year brings.

Have a great weekend and stay warm!
