Catching up...

Man oh man, lots of things have happened since the last time I checked in!   Hilty turned 1 (as of today she is 1 1/2), we moved houses, The Inheritance Project Sold, we traveled to Wisconsin for Christmas, Everett turned 4 and we got a puppy among other things just to name a few.

Holy moly...let's get started and catch up!

September-

Birthday parties, airplane rides and moving houses.  Insanity at its best.

This was probably our busiest month ever in our lives.  After literally throwing our house up on Zillow to sell by owner in August we were under contract in 10 days.  That meant that just as school was starting we were house hunting, put in an offer and cleared to close at the end of September.

Not to mention that we hosted our little lady's first birthday party at our old house (in the midst of packing boxes).  Luckily our friends are awesome and didn't really care.  Score!

We also found ourselves in Wisconsin for the marriage of our dear friends, Nick and Jess.  It was a quick trip, but so fun and Hilty even had a second birthday party up there (5 of the 7 grand kids have September birthdays!).

Birthday Cake #2!

After returning from Wisconsin we had one week until we moved.  It.was.crazy.  Luckily Grandpa Rick flew down and helped us move out of the old and move in the new.

Two trucks and lots of paint later - we were all moved in!

Our new home sweet home!

October-

We celebrated the sale of The Inheritance Project and even had a Halloween Housewarming Party at the new casa.  I must say that it is a great party house!

We were a little sad to put this little house on the market, but also quite relieved to be finished.  This project was definitely a labor of love, but worth it in the end.  After about 2 weeks on the market we got the call we had been waiting for...SOLD!

Open House Day !!!

Halloween 2016

November -

We celebrated Thanksgiving at my mom's house, Grandma Pam came down from Wisconsin and we even cut down our own tree this year at the cutest little Christmas Tree farm in Eustis.

December-

I went on a girls' trip to Colorado for my birthday and we had a family road trip to Wisconsin for Christmas.  Busy, crazy and so much fun!

My girlfriends and I made our way to Denver to stay with our friend Kate (Bueller).  She showed us around her amazing city and we had a blast.  The hiking, drinking, eating and laughing were much needed.  And P.S. - Denver is AWESOME.

Red Rocks!!!

Once in Wisco, we were there for about 10 days.  As always we visited the Capital and spent a lot of time in Madison, went ice skating, sledding and had lots of fun family time.  We even flew my mom up this year to get a real taste of cold weather.

God bless the Selfie stick!

January-

Beach days, strawberry picking,  Mike's LASIK surgery and our new puppy named Wisco!

I love visiting the cold, white north for the holidays, but it is always nice to come home and head to the beach to thaw out.

The strawberries around here were ready pretty early this year and we took full advantage of a beautiful day in the patch.

Another big development in January was Mike's LASIK surgery.  He has been talking about it for years and we finally bit the bullet.  The surgery was about 10 minutes and he had 20/20 vision (or better) by 8am the next morning.  It was amazing and he has been so happy with it.

Probably the biggest development in January, however, was this guy.  Meet Wisco.  He is a full bred Cockapoo (Cocker Spaniel/Poodle) and we got him when he was just 7 weeks old.  I still don't really know what we were thinking, but he is seriously the cutest dog in the whole world (and is hypoallergenic and doesn't shed).  Our kiddos are in love with him and I think he's pretty smitten with us, too.

February -

Everett turned 4 and we had a fun visit with Grandpa Rick and Pamela.  We also got to spend the day at Universal Orlando to celebrate our birthday boy.

Lard Lad Donut instead of a birthday cake - yes, please!

March-

I feel like we are starting to catch our breath and seem to finally feel moved in to our new house.  We love it so much we are even planning on adding on another bathroom...stay tuned!

Have a great week!
