FF–Elastic

When I think of elastic waistbands, I think of pajama pants, workout shorts and the occasional "mom jean".  When shopping for bottoms, I usually look for more a structured waistband that is generally more flattering.   That is, until I found this skirt.









It met all of my summer/school needs (comfy, lightweight fabric, appropriate length, wearability) and is as comfortable as wearing a nightgown.  It is a lightweight rayon fabric that is flowy and very flattering...all while having an elastic waist!  The best news?  I found it at Target for under $20.  Score!






Although this skirt  doesn't have belt loops (sometimes elastic waists have thin threads that can act as a belt loop), I simply add a belt over the elastic and it works great and dresses it up just a bit!

Not into belts?  Wear a simple v-neck t-shirt tucked in or out and add a cute necklace for a fun, casual and comfortable summer look that would be perfect for an outdoor BBQ or a day out shopping.
